A LITTLE ABOUT ME...
I grew up in a farm town that lacked culture and had plenty of toxic masculinity. I was drawn to hip hop because it was the opposite of what I was surrounded by. I appreciated how the artists would use old music and turn it into something fresh by cutting it up, recomposing and then laying their poetry over it.
Later I could see the connection to street art by the collaboration happening on the streets. Different ideas dancing together in a public space, the result of bending the law so that a voice could be heard. Markers, spray paint, wheat pasted posters, stencils, whatever it took to get the message out. The juxtaposition of all those things, creating a powerful message, was immediately intoxicating when I moved to NY in the summer of 2004. This site contains work that is ever evolving and deals with my life journey. Thank you for being a part of it.
